An officer responded to trespass Mark England indefinitely from the Breeze Inn Bar. 2:06 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at the railroad maintenance shed for taillight requirements and disorderly conduct when officer approached the vehicle. 8:02 a.m. A reporting party advised Richard Hubbard was sitting in front of First National Bank blocking the doors. Hubbard was contacted and asked not to block the door and not to harass customers of the bank. 11:43 a.m. A bartender from The Breeze Inn stated there was a male sitting outside of the restaurant drinking beer, described as wearing a blue sweatshirt, black coveralls and a green bomber jacket. Officers made contact with Richard Hubbard. 11:51 a.m. A reporting party stated he lost his wallet somewhere in Seward over the Memorial Day weekend. It was described as a brown wallet containing his Alaska driver’s license, an AVTEC ID, welding certification card, VISA check card, SAMS Club card and $600 cash. The bank alerted him that his debit card had been used at Safeway within the last couple of days. The reporting party was going to get a copy of the transaction and bring it to Seward Police Department. The information was entered into the Lost and Found Book. 12:26 p.m. A reporting party advised that they would be going back to her daughter’s apartment between 3:30-5:30 to break the door lock. The manager of the apartment was aware of this and gave permission, and the reporting party will be installing a new lock immediately. 1:12 p.m. A reporting party stated she lost her black Samsung flip cell phone somewhere on Third Avenue. The information was entered into the Lost and Found Book. 2:30 p.m. A reporting party out of Florida requested assistance in retrieving his personal items that he left aboard the Radiance of the Sea. He is with the Disney Police Department and left his wallet containing his badge, police credentials, cash and two cell phones. 3:05 p.m. A reporting party advised of four to five juvenile males skateboarding in the area of Third Avenue and Railway. They would like them to be asked to move to the skateboard park. An officer was unable to locate anyone in the area. 4:28 p.m. A reporting party from SeaLife Center security advised they have a 3-year-old female missing, last seen outside the SeaLife Center wearing a pink shirt. Security then advised officers that the little girl was found. 5:18 p.m. A juvenile reporting party advised his black KHS bike was stolen from a friend’s house last night. The information was placed into the Lost and Found book. 8:12 p.m. A reporting party advised that a white van with Minnesota plates almost rear-ended him on the Seward Highway by Spenard Builders Supply. The reporting party advised that the vehicle was tailgating him all the way to Nash Road and then gave him the bird. The reporting party advised he followed him to Tony’s Bar. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers were advised. 8:39 p.m. A written warning was issued on a vehicle in front of Yolly’s for the violation of vehicle more than 19 feet long on Fourth Avenue. 9:05 p.m. A reporting party advised of a grizzly and a cub on Lowell Canyon Road going into yards on the left-hand side of road. An officer advised he shot off a cracker shell, and the bear left the area. 9:13 p.m. A reporting party advised of a camp fire at the base of Mount Marathon. The reporting party advised she put water on it but advised that officers might want it to check on it later. 9:32 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway and Air Force recreation camp for speeding. 9:34 p.m. An ambulance was requested to Harborside Camping for a female who had fallen with possible broken ribs. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 9:52 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver for failure to display trailer tags.
Monday, May 31 – 8:50 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway and Hemlock for speeding. 9:51 a.m. A reporting party advised of a brown bear and cub in the area of Barlow. An officer was advised. 3:17 p.m. A reporting party advised of an alarm sounding at the Holiday Inn. An officer advised that the alarm was accidentally set off by the maintenance person. A message was left for the manager. 5:25 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue by Bayside Apartments for speeding. 7:19 p.m. A reporting party, with the U.S. Coast Guard, advised of an intoxicated male with two females who were parked illegally in their area. The reporting party advised that the vehicle was moved after the male had cursed at him. The reporting party advised that the male was walking north toward Chinooks on the boardwalk. 7:53 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Third Avenue and Bayside for speeding. 7:55 p.m. A citation was issued to Lutz Tautz, of California, at Third Avenue and B Street for speeding. 9:16 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway and Air Force recreation camp for speeding. 9:24 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Railway and Third Avenue for illegal turning at an intersection. 9:35 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Fourth Avenue and Van Buren for speeding. 9:43 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Napa Store entry for failing to stop at a stop sign. 9:53 p.m. A reporting party requested an ambulance to assist him in transporting his wife to Providence Seward Medical Center for leg cramps. Tuesday, June 1 – 1:22 a.m. A reporting party advised an officer that Richard Hubbard was at the Harbormaster’s office bathrooms. An officer arrested and charged Hubbard with criminal trespass and resisting arrest. 3:11 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Sea Lion for speeding. At the same time an advisement was entered into APSIN, the law enforcement database, that Richard Hubbard is trespassed from both Marina Restaurants per the registered owner. 3:34 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Chevron for speeding. Also at this same time, an officer entered an advisement in the Alaska Public Safety Information Network that a subject who is also known as “Heineken Dave” is trespassed from Chevron per the manager. 5:34 a.m. A reporting party advised an intoxicated male was passed out behind the Ale House. The reporting party also advised his black sealskin wallet containing $40 and credit cards was taken from his vehicle sometime during the night. 8:17 a.m. A reporting party at the Hotel Edgewater advised of a fire alarm sounding. The reporting party called back and advised that it was burnt toast. All responders were advised. 9:49 a.m. A reporting party at Hertz rental advised that $40 was stolen out of the cash register the previous night. The reporting party advised the person must have come through the window. An officer was advised. 11:47 a.m. A reporting party from the harbormaster’s office advised that they received several complaints of a male sleeping in the bathroom and threatening people when they enter the facility. The reporting party advised they think it is Hubbard but are not sure. They said the male appears homeless and is walking around barefoot. The reporting party advised that if it keeps up they will be locking the doors at 3 p.m. The reporting party asked an officer to check the bathroom at night. 3:06 p.m. An ambulance was requested to E Float to meet the Coastal Explorer, which had a female onboard who was having a seizure. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 4:25 p.m. A citation was issued to Robert D. Bostater, of Ohio, at Third Avenue by Wells Fargo, for speeding. 4:29 p.m. A reporting party from AVTEC requested an officer to meet with him at the four-plex on Madison to speak with him regarding a domestic situation with two of the students, which is not taking place at this time. After an investigation, and speaking with the victim, the suspect was contacted. A summons was issued to Kesha Cory Ozenna, on the charge assault involving domestic violence. After speaking with the suspect Ozenna, an officer returned to issue a summons to Jessie Skinner, on the charge of assault in the fourth degree involving domestic violence. 5:01 p.m. A reporting party advised she heard fireworks near Jap Creek in the new Afognak Subdivision. She was concerned for the fire danger. An officer responded to check the area. The officer contacted a blue Blazer coming from the area, but the occupants stated they did not hear anything. 6:54 p.m. A reporting party advised her husband was to be back from fishing at noon that day and did not returned. The owner, Robert Valantas, went out with three other males, possibly to Granite Island, Nuka Island or Chiswells. Dispatch contacted the U.S. Coast Guard in Kodiak who will take over the call. The vessel was contacted by USCG who stated they were staying in a harbor for the night because of bad weather. The reporting party was notified by USCG. 7:55 p.m. A reporting party advised his rental motorhome had broken down and he was in the gravel parking area north of Safeway. The rental company was to come in the morning to remove it. He would be staying in the motorhome that night. 8:35 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Third Avenue and Monroe for speeding. 8:47 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Third Avenue and Van Buren for speeding.
Wednesday, May 25 – 12:30 a.m. A caller received a call on a cell phone advising their house in Anchorage was on fire and to call 911. Dispatch contacted Anchorage Fire Department for verification and advised no fire was at that address. AFD will contact the reporting party to advise. 1:04 a.m. An anonymous caller advised of a silver four-door sedan ripping around the Safeway parking lot and the driver was thought to be intoxicated. An officer responded, spoke with the driver and found driver to be negative to driving under the influence. 1:49 a.m. A disorderly conduct warning was given to Zhahn Lindseth, of Washington. The officer advised the subject is going from downtown to home in taxi. 1:52 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Van Buren and Fourth Avenue for improper use of roadway. 2:02 a.m. An officer conducted a stop on vehicle for possible driving under the influence. The officer issued a verbal warning for failing to stop at a stop sign and failure to carry an operator’s license. The officer determined it was a negative DUI. 5:52 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Resurrection for speeding. 6:56 a.m. A citation was issued to Thomas Martin at Third Avenue and B Street for speeding. 8:46 a.m. A reporting party advised that the alleyway is blocked between Second and Third avenues off Adams and Jefferson streets. An officer advised the alley is no longer blocked. 9:01 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Fourth Avenue and B Street for speeding. 9:14 a.m. An ambulance was requested to Sixth Avenue for a 72-year-old female who has had a stroke. The ambulance transported the patient to Providence Seward Medical Center. 10:13 a.m. A reporting party at Safeway advised of a possible drunken driver. An officer arrested and charged Troy Weyiouanna with driving under the influence. Weyiouanna was transported to Seward Community Jail. 12:23 p.m. An ambulance was requested to Resurrection Baptist Church for a 78-year-old male who had fallen and couldn’t get up. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 1:04 p.m. A reporting party advised of four wheelers coming from Nash Road and driving around at the end of the airport area. An officer was advised. 2:19 p.m. A reporting party advised that a vehicle was swerving and driving under the speed limit on the Seward Highway heading north from Mile 6. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers were advised. 2:44 p.m. Troopers advised of two 911 hang-up calls. Dispatch contacted the Alaska SeaLife Center security. They advised there is no emergency. An officer was advised. 2:59 p.m. A reporting party requested an officer to Ray’s for a fender bender with no injuries. An officer was advised. 4:14 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers transferred a driving complaint. A reporting party stated a silver Chevy pickup with dual wheels in the back, and a black topper, was speeding between 75-80 miles per hour toward Seward from the Ptarmigan Creek cutoff. The vehicle passed approximately five vehicles, almost hit one vehicle head on and almost clipped several others, all in a double yellow line area. The vehicle turned onto Sea Lion Drive from Seward Highway. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle at the elementary and junior high schools, Air Force recreation camp area, Forest Acres campground, the empty lot across from there or at the Seward Resort. 4:48 p.m. A parking authority officer advised of a camper in spot No. 45 of the south 72-hour lot, the he believes may be camping there. The caller requested an officer check on it later that night. 10:36 p.m. A citation was issued to Daren Cummings at Seward and Sea Lion for headlight requirements. 10:50 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver behind Terry’s Tires, for speeding. 11:01 p.m. An officer made contact with driver Daniel Tolson and passenger. Tolson was issued a citation for operating vehicle in violation of provisional license. The passenger was transported back to his vehicle in the Harbor Lights Condo parking lot. 11:11 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward and Safeway for headlights not on and not carrying driver’s license. 11:35 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver for speeding. 11:41 p.m. A citation was issued to Matthew Wayne Roberts at Seward and Port for failing to stop at stop signs.
Thursday, May 26 – 12:32 a.m. An officer spotted a sow black bear and cub at the Spring Creek campgrounds and chased them up the mountain. 12:51 a.m. A citation was issued to Grant Uren, of Washington, while driving at Terry’s Tire Parking Lot for proof of insurance. 2:15 a.m. An officer advised of vehicle not stopping at First Avenue and going at a high rate of speed. The officer stopped the vehicle in front of Wesley Rehabilitation Center. Nathan Buchanan was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, reckless endangerment and failure to stop at direction of peace officer. Buchanan was transported to Seward Community Jail. Buchanan was also cited for minor consuming. Glacier Towing impounded the vehicle. 2:30 p.m. Dee Dee Borodychuk was arrested by summons and charged with harassment. 4:14 p.m. A reporting party, who was the caretaker of the Branson estate, requested a patrol. The caller reported a red Jeep was parked across from Fourth Avenue, and she knows it is not registered and it is in her mother’s name. She saw it earlier today at Safeway. An officer contacted the reporting party, located the driver, who was borrowing the vehicle. The vehicle was returned to the Branson residence until the owner returns from Oregon and updates the registration. 5:35 p.m. A reporting party advised they loaned their Weber charcoal grill to the Alehouse and someone took it from there sometime the last week. 5:41 p.m. A motor vehicle accident with damage was reported from the parking lot of Subway. The drivers were given the appropriate forms. 8:02 p.m. Jonathan Ray Lester was arrested at the end of Grouse Lake Road and charged with driving under the influence, reckless driving and felony eluding. A citation was issued for speeding. The vehicle was impounded by Glacier Towing. 8:08 p.m. A reporting party from Pacific Park Apartments stated she and her husband were having a verbal argument. She then stated she did not want anyone to respond. Officers responded for a welfare check. It was a verbal argument only. 8:33 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Fourth Avenue and D Street for speeding. 9:24 p.m. A reporting party advised of a vehicle on fire by the weir on Bear Lake Road. The fire was out, but the vehicle was still smoking. Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps were toned. 11:50 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department about a fire in the trees one-quarter mile north of Summit Lake Lodge. MPVFD, Forest Service and Cooper Landing Fire and Emergency Medical Services personnel responded but could not find any fire in the area.
Friday, May 27 – 8:50 a.m. A reporting party advised of two brown-colored bears, sow and cub, spotted next to Second Lake. 9:52 a.m. A reporting party advised of two brown bears on First Avenue, heading in direction of the SeaLife Center. An officer was advised. 5:30 p.m. The harbormaster requested extra patrols in the bathrooms by the harbormaster’s office. They found syringes and a spoon. 5:49 p.m. A reporting party advised of an intoxicated male in the bike path tunnel, wearing a gray plaid flannel hooded sweatshirt. An officer contacted David Bolbos. A portable breath test was given. He was placed into protective custody. 11:51 p.m. An officer made contact with people having a bonfire and camping at the southeast corner of Seward Marine Industrial Center. An officer advised them to put the campfire out and leave. 1:49 a.m. A reporting party advised that he was drilling a pipe in the air conditioner in the basement of City Hall and hit one that had Freon in it. Utility personnel responded and advised that most of the Freon has dispersed and just to air out building for a bit.
Saturday, May 28 – 11:31 a.m. John D. Houser was contacted and requested to leave and not return to Kimberly Court Apartments after a report of an intoxicated male who was causing problems was received. An officer responded, and an advisement entered into APSIN, the law enforcement database. 2:01 p.m. An ambulance was dispatched to Questa Woods for a 77-year-old male with trouble breathing. Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps were dispatched. The patient was transported to the hospital. 3:52 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway by the Breeze Inn for extreme smoking from vehicle. 3:57 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway by Bayside Apartments for speeding. 6:53 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue and Madison for speeding. 6:59 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue and Monroe for speeding. 8:03 p.m. A reporting party requested an officer to Kimberly Court for a domestic disturbance. An officer contacted a male and female and gave a verbal warning. 8:19 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue by AVTEC for speeding. 10:35 p.m. A reporting party requested a welfare check on an intoxicated male that was carried into Gateway Apartment passed out. The reporting party was concerned that he would choke on his vomit if left alone. An officer advised that the intoxicated male had two adults looking after him. 10:50 p.m. A reporting party at the Holiday Inn advised Richard Hubbard was harassing the customers. An officer advised Hubbard that he was trespassed indefinitely from the Holiday Inn. 11:31 p.m. A traffic citation was issued to Jeffrey Eide while driving on Fourth Avenue near the harbormaster’s office. 11:54 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Fourth Avenue and B for headlight requirements. 11:59 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Seward Highway and Air Force recreation camp for white lights to the rear.
Sunday, May 29 – A physician advised that a subject had passed away at his home. This was expected home death; the Comfort One paperwork was on file. An officer responded to verify. 1:41 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver near the SeaLife Center and Lowell Point Road for failing to stop at stop sign. About the same time, Marina Manolakais was arrested at Adams and Third Avenue and charged with driving under the influence. The vehicle was impounded by Seward Body and Paint. 3:51 a.m. A reporting party advised of a dark green Chevy Suburban with yellow Alaska plates ripping around the area of Phoenix and Bear. The reporting party heard voices and observed a female with long dark hair, dark clothing and possibly no shoes, wrestling with a male on the ground near the intersection. The vehicle was last seen heading down Bear towards the Seward Highway. An officer responded but was unable to locate the vehicle or the female. 8:01 a.m. A reporting party from First National Bank requested assistance removing Richard Hubbard from the lobby. Officers made contact with the subject, and he was advised to leave the area. 8:25 a.m. A reporting party from the landfill advised that sometime the previous night a rock was thrown through the window of their plow truck. The lock on the front gate had also been broken. 11 a.m. A notice was left on a vehicle on Third Avenue for parking against the flow of traffic. 11:33 a.m. An advisement was entered into APSIN, the Alaska Public Safety Information Network, stating that Richard Hubbard is trespassed indefinitely from Tony’s Bar/Liquor Store and property. 1:21 p.m. A reporting party from the Oriental Gardens requested an officer for a customer who was refusing to pay for his food. An officer made contact with the individual. The matter was worked out civilly. 2:24 p.m. A reporting party advised a subject came into Peking restaurant while she was eating to pick up his to-go order. An officer spoke with the complainant and it was determined that this was not a violation of the domestic violation restraining order. 4:17 p.m. A reporting party advised she found a bank bag along the road that belongs to a subject. The reporting party advised she left a message of where to retrieve it from. The reporting party’s number was in the phone log. The reporting party called back to report the bank bag has been returned to owner. 4:21 p.m. A reporting party advised of a homeless man in front of Tony’s bar making comments at people walking by. The reporting party advised he is wearing black pants, royal blue hooded sweater and has a scruffy beard. An officer contacted Richard Hubbard and advised him that he was trespassed indefinitely from Tony’s Bar/Liquor Store and property. 5:08 p.m. A reporting party advised of an intoxicated male walking in the roadway on Fourth Avenue by the Harbor View Inn heading towards the harbor. An officer was unable to locate the subject at that time. 6:22 p.m. A reporting party requested an officer to speak with a male at the new playground on Ballaine Boulevard. The reporting party advised that the male’s little girl pooped on the ground and reporting party asked him to clean it up and he was cursing at her. An officer advised everything is cleaned up. 6:42 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue by Harbor View Inn for speeding. 8:34 p.m. A reporting party advised of a yearling moose that was possibly injured by the Air Force recreation camp. An officer advised the moose is fine. 9:11 p.m. A reporting party advised that on Fourth of July beach there was a tent that has been knocked down and several empty alcohol containers all over the ground. The reporting party was concerned that someone might be hurt in the tent. An officer advised that no one was in the area and that he left a note to clean up the mess or they will be cited for it. 10:19 p.m. A reporting party advised of two females trying to break into a tenant’s place and damaging the door handle. An officer advised that the tenant had locked her keys in the apartment, all is fine. 10:36 p.m. A reporting party called Seward Police Department concerned that she has not been able to contact her husband via cell phone. The reporting party advised her husband in kayaking in Kachemak Bay and was thought to be home Friday. The information was passed on to Soldotna Alaska State Troopers. 11 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver by Chevron for headlight requirements. 11:05 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver on Seward Highway by Chevron for headlight requirements. 11:20 p.m. An officer spoke with an intoxicated Darryl Sterba of California, while walking near Trailhead Lodging, to verify the subject was able to care for himself. An officer advised a family member would take responsibility of him for the remainder of the night. 11:33 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to James Keith, of Texas, while driving at the intersection of Third Avenue and Van Buren for headlights requirements. 11:50 p.m. A citation was issued to Joshua Arman, of Nevada, while at Seward Highway and Chamber of Commerce for speeding.
Saturday, May 17 – 11:49 p.m. A reporting party advised that he heard a male yelling and then a loud boom near the south end of Kimberly Court Apartments. An officer responded but was unable to locate anyone making noise in the area and advised that no one in the area heard any noise.
Sunday, May 18 – 12:57 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Sea Lion for taillight. 12:57 a.m. A citation was issued to Colin Burrows, of California, while driving at Third Avenue and AVTEC dorms for speed. 1:28 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at 420 Third Ave. for failing to yield. 1:39 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Third Avenue and Jefferson Avenue for speed. 1:47 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Sea Lion for equipment. 1:53 a.m. Justin Swanner was arrested and charged with driving under the influence at Mile 44 of the Sterling Highway. Swanner was transported to Seward Community Jail. 5:15 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Seward Highway and Safeway for speed. 8:37 a.m. A citation was issued to Nicholas Stebbins on Third Avenue and Madison for failure to carry proof of insurance. 9 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver on Seward Highway and Sea Lion for speeding. 12:18 p.m. An earthquake was reported, 55 miles south of Kotzebue and 135 miles northeast of Nome. No tsunami was generated. 1:30 p.m. A reporting party found a purse in the northeast boat harbor with a wallet and miscellaneous items. The reporting party turned the purse into the police department. The information was placed into the Lost and Found book. 2:31 p.m. A verbal warning was issued a driver near the Chevron for speed. 4:36 p.m. A citation was issued to Douglas Ward while driving on Seward Highway and Van Buren for failure to stop at stop sign. 4:15 p.m. An officer met with Kenai Fjords Tours staff and escorted Travis Braunm to the bunkhouse at D Street. He was issued a criminal trespass not to return to the bunkhouse property at D Street indefinitely. The trespass information was entered into APSIN, the law enforcement database. 7:18 p.m. Cary Dean Tevis was arrested at Stoney Creek and charged with driving under the influence. 9:39 p.m. Kevin James Erchinger was arrested at Bruno Road and charged with driving under the influence and driving with license revoked.
Monday, May 19 – 12:17 a.m. Frank Tallerico, of California, was arrested at Third Avenue and Washington and charged with driving under the influence and was transported to Seward Community Jail. A verbal warning was given for turn signals, headlights and driving down center of road. 12:37 a.m. Daniel Anderson was arrested at Mile 3.5 Seward and charged with driving under the influence. Anderson was transported to Seward Community Jail. 12:42 a.m. A trooper advised a vehicle was over the center lane on Third Avenue southbound. An officer responded and made contact with the driver at Third Avenue and advised no driving under the influence. A verbal warning was given for driving over the center lane. 12:48 a.m. A reporting party advised that Kenai Fjords Tours fired a disgruntled employee that day and wanted an officer to do an extra patrol. He was in Anchorage, and upon his return, all of his personal items had been packed and placed outside of the residence. 7:09 p.m. A reporting party observed a vehicle described as a two-door Escort of Geo Metro style, dark blue, back bumper was plastic and broken, pulled over at the turnout past Windsong Lodge. A male got out of the back seat and into the front (female driver) and opened a safe. When reporting party returned he saw the opened safe dumped out along the road and vehicle was gone. An officer responded and located the safe. 7:22 p.m. A reporting party advised that subject had left an iguana in a cage outside the residence. She was concerned for its welfare because of the temperature. The animal control officer was contacted and responded.
Tuesday, May 20 – 12:41 a.m. A citation was issued to Tyler Duncan at Seward Highway and Coolidge for failing to carry proof of insurance; and a verbal warning was given for speeding. 6 a.m. Alaska Tsunami Warning Center reported a 6.2 earthquake located 30 miles from Amchitka. No tsunami was reported. 1:19 p.m. An ambulance was requested to the Marina Motel for an unconscious male. 2:13 p.m. A reporting party advised her daughter’s bike was taken sometime the prior week from their residence at Third Avenue. The bike was a black-and-red child’s bike with shocks. The information was entered into the Lost and Found book. 2:13 p.m. A Parks and Recreation employee turned in a bike that was found at the skateboard park. The information was entered into the Lost and Found book. 4:03 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers requested a welfare check on a 911 misdial. Dispatch called back and contacted person who was dialing a 491 cell phone number. An officer made contact with a juvenile caller, who was fine. She was calling a friend to go for a walk. 9:02 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers requested Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps respond to intercept Cooper Landing Ambulance en route to Seward with a male having breathing problems from Mile 44 Seward Highway. Their ambulance lost suspension and did not know if they would make it. 11:36 p.m. A caller stated that her husband just beat her up and left in a red Ford Mustang, unknown plate or direction of travel. The caller advised she was in Bear Creek area. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers and Seward police officer were advised.
Wednesday, May 21 – 12:05 a.m. The Gateway Chevron advised that Troy Apatiki tried to take two 1/5 bottles of alcohol. Officers responded and made contact with Apatiki and issued a concealment-of-merchandise summons. 12:29 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward and North Harbor for speeding. 12:37 a.m. Officers investigated a vehicle parked in the vacant lot across from Forest Acres tent camping. 12:45 a.m. An officer assisted Alaska State Troopers looking for an intoxicated male and female on the side of Old Exit Glacier Road. 1:40 a.m. Boyd Trigg and Viola Saccheus were placed into protective custody and transported to Seward Community Jail. 9:36 a.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised an officer was requesting assistance at Nash Bayview Trailer for a domestic violence incident. Medics were also requested. Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded. 10:57 a.m. A reporting party advised his iPod was stolen from the biology room at the high school on Monday between 9:30 and 11:30 a.m. The iPod was black with a black and chrome case. There were people in her apartment that the caller felt should not be there and she was unsure of where the owner was. An officer responded, and all was fine. 2:39 p.m. An officer advised he received a call from the elementary school stating that they had a parent there that might be intoxicated. The officer contacted the subject who was advised to leave the area. 3:51 p.m. A reporting party advised she was trying to call her mother’s cell phone but misdialed 911. Dispatch talked with an adult, and everything was fine. An officer was advised. 4:08 p.m. A reporting party advised barrels at the second turn out past Mile 2 on Nash Road were spilling oil out on the ground. An officer responded with the fire department. The city street department called out for barricades. A hazardous materials crew would be out the next day to clean up the mess. 5:33 p.m. A reporting party advised of a rollover motor vehicle accident with injuries at Mile 11 of the Seward Highway with one occupant. The patient was removed from vehicle, conscience and breathing. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers were advised. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 8:30 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a 911 hang-up with a disturbance in the background. Dispatch called the number back and a female answered and hung up with a male yelling in the background. An officer responded. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center.
Sunday, May 11 – 8:10 a.m. A reporting party at Spring Creek requested an ambulance for a male having chest pain. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 9:04 a.m. An earthquake, magnitude 4.0, was generated 75 miles southwest of Haines and 105 miles west of Juneau. No tsunami was expected. 9:58 a.m. A reporting party advised he lost his wallet in Seward, possibly at Tony’s Bar on May 3. The information was placed into Lost and Found book. 6:23 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a red pickup that was jacked up, southbound from Mile 2 of the Seward Highway. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle along Fourth Avenue and Ballaine area. Also, they were unable to locate it along Seward Highway, Safeway and Seward Resort parking area; at 6:36 p.m., an officer advised it was a newer Dodge pickup with a lift kit and it bounced off the sidewalk a couple of times. 6:38 p.m. A citation for expired registration was issued to Neil Donald Gotschall on an unoccupied vehicle while parked in the north 72-hour lot. 9:09 p.m. A citation was issued to Joel Geisendorfer at Seward and Hemlock for failing to carry proof of insurance. A verbal warning was given for speed, reverse lights staying on while driving forward and failing to carry registration. 9:25 p.m. A smoke alarm was sounding for Spring Creek Correction Center. Staff advised they were checking the source. A fire department officer responded. SCCC advised there was heavy smoke coming from Building 5 generator room. An officer was advised. 8:52 a.m. A reporting party requested to speak with an officer regarding an incident that occurred last night with a male. A citation was issued for vehicle over length in the downtown area. 12:57 p.m. A caller advised he lost his wallet sometime within the last few days. It contained $30 cash, an Alaska operator’s license Social Security card and a working badge for Seward Fish. The information was entered into the Lost and Found book. 1:42 p.m. Guardian advised of an entry alarm sounding at the American Legion, they then called back and advised that it was an employee on the premises. An officer was advised. 2:28 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to Howard Synesael for speeding and failing to change tags to Alaska. 2:37 p.m. The Homer Police Department reported a complainant wished to file a report regarding her son who was sexually assaulted approximately six years ago in Seward. 4:45 p.m. A reporting party came in to Seward Police Department to speak with an officer regarding a violation of her domestic violence restraining order on Monty Mack. Mack was issued a summons for two counts of violating a restraining order by e-mailing the reporting party twice regarding what he should do with her dog. 6:19 p.m. Richard Hubbard was arrested at the library after a call from them that he was inside the library. He refused to cooperate with the officer. An officer responded for agency assist. Hubbard was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and resisting arrest. The advisement entered into law enforcement database for officer safety. 6:53 p.m. Windsong Lodge on Exit Glacier Road was out of power. Dispatch also received several calls from other residents on Exit Glacier Road. A crew was called. 9 p.m. Power was back on at Exit Glacier Road. A crew was still working on power problem at Spring Creek Correction Center. 10:42 p.m. James Graves was arrested at Old Nash Road and charged with driving under the influence and driving with license revoked.
Tuesday, May 13 – 1:08 a.m. A caller reported hearing someone yelling, “He won’t let me out, someone please come get me” from her back window at Gateway Apartments. The caller stated it sounded like it was coming from Kimberly Court Apartments. Officers responded and made contact with Michael Mcgrath and a female at Kimberly Court Apartment. Mcgrath was arrested and charged with assault in the fourth degree involving domestic violence and transported to Seward Community Jail. 2:12 a.m. A reporting party advised there were two males that were messing with the Genie equipment at Resurrection Rentals and then ran toward Bayside Apartments. An officer responded and advised the strap on the fire extinguisher was loose and there was no apparent damage. 5:45 a.m. A reporting party advised of a domestic violence in progress at Gateway Apartments. An officer requested officer assistance. The officer responded and made contact with a female and male and advised it was verbal only. The second officer request was canceled. 7 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Safeway for speeding. 8:46 a.m. A reporting party, a driver, advised Joseph Tougas had backed his vehicle into her vehicle causing significant damage. An officer responded and forms were issued. 10:05 a.m. An officer assisted Alaska State Troopers with a sexual assault case. 11:53 a.m. A reporting party requested to speak with an officer regarding items that were stolen while stored at the Storage Option. 6:14 p.m. A caller advised that a female was on the beach area feeding the birds including the eagles. He was advised that it is legal. 7:47 p.m. A dorm attendant called and requested an officer to talk to an individual who was intoxicated and upset. The officer responded and met with the subject, and a portable breath test gave a 0.162 result. The subject agreed to stay in his room and be quiet. 10:46 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised that Blake Smith was arrested at Mile 43 of the Sterling Highway on Soldotna Alaska State Trooper warrant, bail $5,000, with original charge of probation violation and providing false report. Smith was transported to Seward Community Jail. 11:48 p.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Seward Highway and South Harbor for headlight requirements.
Wednesday, May 14 – 12:04 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Seward Highway and Hemlock for taillight. 12:40 a.m. Michel Talbot was arrested and charged with driving under the influence while driving at Gateway Chevron. Seward Body and Paint impounded the vehicle. Talbot was transported to Seward Community Jail. 1:08 a.m. An officer was advised of an intoxicated pedestrian in a ditch at Third Avenue and Van Buren. An officer made contact with Falani Solomona. An individual responded to pick up Solomona at Gateway Chevron. 8:22 a.m. An officer brought in a wallet that was turned into him from a taxi driver. The black trifold wallet contained an operator’s license, $44 cash and various cards. The officer contacted the owner and returned the wallet. 8:58 a.m. A reporting party came in to Seward Police Department to speak with an officer regarding a violation of her domestic violence restraining order. An officer spoke with complainant, and it was determined that the event was not a violation of the restraining order. 9:39 a.m. A reporting party requested assistance with a vehicle that had been parked on city property blocking part of their driveway. An officer advised the vehicle could be at the location until tomorrow while dispatch tried to locate the registered owner. 2:47 p.m. A reporting party reported a tan-colored discharge in the water by Resurrection Bay Seafoods. 4 p.m. A reporting party from Seward Elementary requested an officer for two minors regarding marijuana. The names of the minors and drug charges were forwarded to Juvenile Intake. 6:15 p.m. An ambulance was requested to Trail Hatchery for a 2-year-old female that was covered with hot wax from the face down. The child was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center by the parents. 6:46 p.m. An ambulance was requested to Bruno Road for an 86-year-old male having a stroke or a heart attack. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. 7:30 p.m. A reporting party turned in a wallet that had been found at Three Bears. An officer left a message with the owner. The owner picked up the wallet. 8:59 p.m. A reporting party advised of two males on cliffs off Beach Road who may have been intoxicated shooting a gun out into the water at seagulls. The reporting party advised both males are wearing black with white stripes.
Thursday, May 15 – 7:37 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Seward Highway and Wells Fargo for speeding. At about the same time, a citation was issued to Kenneth Hirst while driving at Seward Highway and Bayside Apartments for speeding. 11:55 p.m. A reporting party called requesting information for a local hospital or clinic. The subject was having difficulty breathing but did not want an ambulance. Dispatch suggested to call a taxi for transport to Providence Seward Medical Center. The center was advised. Dispatch confirmed with the center that patient had arrived.
Friday, May 16 – 2:33 a.m. A reporting party called requesting an officer to remove his girlfriend from his residence at Third Avenue. An officer responded. The officer advised they separate for the night. 9:26 a.m. A written warning was given on a vehicle on 200 block of Fifth Avenue for parking against the flow of traffic. 9:26 a.m. The Division of Motor Vehicles advised a Merilyn Swanson came in to obtain her driver’s license with altered documents. A check in APSIN, the law enforcement database, showed her status as canceled. The subject left Seward possibly in a red Explorer or a green Rav. An officer was unable to locate any vehicle in the area. 9:30 a.m. A reporting party advised that damage had been done to his boat F/V Coventina while being stored at the Seward Storage yard. There was also a paintball gun taken from the vessel. 11:54 a.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign. 1:03 p.m. A written warning was issued on a vehicle at the 200 block of Fifth Avenue for parking against the flow of traffic. 2:25 p.m. A reporting party advised a vehicle was blocking the entrance for the school buses at the high school. An officer advised the vehicle was gone upon arrival. 2:46 p.m. A citation was issued to Kevin Walker while driving on Fifth Avenue and Madison for failing to stop at a stop sign.
Saturday, May 17 – 9:08 a.m. A reporting party advised that someone attempted to break into his boat the Flying D the previous night and broken his wheelhouse widow while it was parked. An officer responded. 4:55 p.m. A reporting party advised that “Sam” was on the Gateway Apartments property and had been criminally trespassed approximately two weeks ago. He left in the bed of an older green pickup that was southbound. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or person. It was determined the suspect was not Sam. 5 p.m. A citation was issued to Michael Francis Kallaugher, of Florida, while driving at Third Avenue and Jefferson for speeding. 7:11 p.m. A reporting party advised of three male subjects sitting in the tunnel that goes under the road and she did not feel comfortable walking through the tunnel. The information was given to an officer. 7:18 p.m. A reporting party advised the water wouldn’t turn off at R77 in the campground. Dispatch contacted parks and recreation campground person who stated the maintenance people were busy at the playground working and could not do anything about it now; at 8:06 p.m. Waste/Water checked on the water flow. 7:49 p.m. A reporting party, and several others, advised of two eagles hanging upside down in a tree and gasping for breath, at the 400 block of Second Avenue in the alleyway between First and Second avenues. Dispatch contacted the SeaLife Center for response; at 8:36 p.m., the eagles disengaged, fell to the ground and flew off. The eagles may have been mating.
Tuesday, May 6 – 1:51 a.m. Boyd Trigg was sleeping in front of Starbird Studio. Trigg was placed into protective custody and transported to Seward Community Jail. 2:40 p.m. A caller reported hearing a loud thud from Bayside Apartments. An officer responded and advised it was male who fell down but refused any medical treatment. 12:36 p.m. A reporting party stated he found a homemade pipe at the AVTEC dorms. An officer responded, and the item was placed in safekeeping for destruction. 1:42 p.m. The principal from the high school requested assistance in locating the owner of vehicle to have it removed from the school property. 2:01 p.m. A reporting party stated he has a contract with two restaurants in Seward to pick up their vegetable waste from containers outside of the building. He went to retrieve them today, and they were gone. He requested to speak with an officer for assistance on the matter. 3:32 p.m. A citation was given to the operator of a vehicle after being contacted during a traffic stop at Seward between North and South Harbor. The driver was also given a verbal warning for failing to register vehicle after purchase. 6:16 p.m. Extra patrols were requested for the new playground area. The surveyor has stakes in the ground and it is roped off. Parks and Recreation is requesting the officers check on it regularly. 6:29 p.m. A tourist from overseas and his son were accidentally locked in the yard of Quality Asphalt Paving off Exit Glacier Road. A supervisor from QAP was advised. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers were also advised. 7:56 p.m. A wallet belonging to a subject from the Navy ship John Paul Jones was found. A message stating that it was turned in was left on his telephone.
Wednesday, May 7 – 1:38 a.m. A reporting party reported that her friend was overdue from going to Soldotna that day and was driving a gray Toyota pickup with a campershell and cracked windshield and works at Seward Fisheries. An officer advised that there were no vehicles at Seward Fisheries. The reporting party was advised to call Soldotna Alaska State Troopers. 7:53 a.m. A bus driver reported a vehicle had run the bus’s red lights while it was stopped on Phoenix actively loading children. An officer was advised. 8:18 a.m. A citation was issued to Patrick Welsh while driving on Leirer for speeding. 8:34 a.m. A verbal warning was issued a driver for failing to come to a complete stop. 8:36 a.m. An ambulance was requested by the Salmon Creek Bridge for a male barely breathing. Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps and the Bear Creek Volunteer Fire Department responded. 11:01 a.m. A citation was issued to Petru Guset for speeding. 12:11 p.m. A reporting party turned in a neon green Lexar jump drive that she found in front of the library. The information was entered into the Lost and Found. 2 p.m. The owner of the earlier found property came in and claimed her property. 4:49 p.m. A reporting party requested officers to Madison. The reporting party advised that his girlfriend was tearing his belongings up. Officers arrested and charged Kesha Ozenna with assault in the fourth degree and criminal mischief in the fourth degree. Ozenna was transported to Seward Community Jail. 7 p.m. A reporting party advised of a vehicle that was swerving all over the road and was then parked at Peking Restaurant. An officer contacted the driver. 7:56 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Third Avenue for speeding. At the same time, a verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward and Sea Lion for headlight requirement. 8:11 p.m. A reporting party advised of a vehicle that left Gateway Apartments with an intoxicated female driving. An officer arrested and charged Constantina Landt at Bayside Apartments with driving under the influence. Landt was transported to Seward Community Jail.
Thursday, May 8 – 8:17 a.m. A reporting party from Seward Fisheries brought in several duffle bags that have been on the property for days. The information was entered into the Lost and Found book. 11 a.m. The found property mentioned in previous report was returned to owner. 11:12 a.m. A reporting party was advised of a dumpster on Hemlock that was on fire. Seward Volunteer Fire Department and Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps responded. Officers responded for traffic control. 8:19 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway by the Chamber Building for speeding. 9:11 p.m. A reporting party advised about a vehicle that was speeding, heading north on the Seward Highway past Mile 7. The Soldotna Alaska State Troopers were advised. 10:34 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver on Seward Highway by Bayside Apartments for equipment.
Friday, May 9 – 2:38 a.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a 911 call and hangup. An officer responded to advise that the harbor restrooms and payphones area were secure and disturbance call was unfounded. 3:36 p.m. A reporting party called and advised that her ex-boyfriend was at Gateway Texaco and was swearing and slamming things around. He left upon her request. She was advised to call back if they want him trespassed from the property. 4:06 p.m. A reporting party from the Alaska Shop advised two males left the store and appeared intoxicated. They also threw empty beer cans in their garbage can. The subjects left in a gray F150 pickup, northbound. An officer was unable to locate the vehicle. 4:26 p.m. A reporting party reported she spoke with an officer last week regarding an identity theft situation. A note was left for the officer to call her back for further information. 6:18 p.m. A reporting party from AK Shop stated an particular individual was in the store. He has been coming and going and was back by the door to the apartment. The reporting party requested an officer to respond when they close at 7 p.m. if possible. 8:51 p.m. A reporting party observed two subjects with rifles going after a bear on the mountain near the dump. An officer found nobody in area of the dump. 9:27 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to Tracey King while driving at 300 block of Third Avenue for speeding. 9:29 p.m. A reporting party advised of a lot of cars coming and going past their residence on Ash Street in Forest Acres, going towards the old dike area. She walked back there a few days ago and observed a lot of burnt pallets. The caller speculated it was possibly a large party planned for tonight. An officer observed a couple empty beer cases, but no vehicles in the area. 11:04 p.m. A verbal warning was issued to a driver at Ravina and Dairy Hill for headlight issues. 11:37 p.m. A reporting party from the apartments at Thorne’s requested an officer respond to the Yukon to have it close the door because of the noise.
Saturday, May 10 – 8:07 a.m. An ambulance was dispatched to Spring Creek for a male with chest pains. The subject was transported to the hospital. 9 a.m. The U.S. Coast Guard advised that both Navy ships were back in town and will be here for the weekend. 10:15 a.m. A camera, lens and case that had been found three days ago by a harbor employee were turned in. The information was entered into Lost and Found. 10:36 a.m. A reporting party, manager at Harbor View Inn, advised of noise complaints coming in from patrons of the hotel. An officer was advised. 10:37 a.m. A reporting party at Polar Seafoods advised that the previous night, between the hours of 4:30 and 7:30, a Honda generator was stolen from the yard. An officer was advised the generator has been located. 11:57 a.m. An ambulance responded to Mile 19 of the Seward Highway for a subject with low blood pressure and difficulty breathing. The Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department was also dispatched. 1:09 p.m. A reporting party advised that one of their windows was forced open sometime the previous night at the Van Gilder. An officer was advised. 2:06 p.m. Moose Pass Volunteer Fire Department advised of a motor vehicle accident with injuries involving one vehicle and a dirt bike at Mile 24 of the Seward Highway. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a 16-year-old male with neck injuries, burns and not responsive. The patient was transported to Providence Seward Medical Center. The patient was transported by helicopter to Anchorage. 2:30 p.m. A bird problem was reported in the area of Bayview Apartments caused by someone feeding the birds. The reporting party was advised that it is not illegal to feed the birds. 3:20 p.m. An officer advised that a found wallet was turned in to him. The information was placed into Lost and Found book. 3:36 p.m. A civil problem was reported at Gateway Texaco. 3:52 p.m. Officers assisted Alaska State Troopers with the motor vehicle accident from Mile 24. 7:18 p.m. The wallet mentioned at 3:20 p.m. was returned to the owner at Tony’s. 7:20 p.m. A reporting party turned in a two-way radio which he found between Dairy Hill and Resurrection Boulevard. 7:27 p.m. A reporting party of First Avenue advised she had a message left on her home phone from a male stating she was on a hit list according to the Kenai Directory. 8:03 p.m. A preliminary magnitude 4.6 earthquake, located 195 miles southeast of Anchorage was reported. An officer requested Seaview be contacted. 10:05 p.m. A reporting party advised of a male subject stumbling northbound from the Laundromat. Contact made with Blake Miller at the softball field across from Bayside Apartments. The subject was transported to “I” Dock. His captain did not want to take custody of him. Miller was placed into protective custody. 10:29 p.m. A reporting party advised the music from the Yukon was too loud. They closed the back door. 11 p.m. A reporting party advised of two male subjects passed out or sleeping in the post office. Officers did not observe anyone there except Richard Hubbard. Officers spoke with him regarding a previous incident that night and he had no comment. 11:40 p.m. A reporting party advised of an audible alarm sounding at Williams Campground. An officer responded. The registered owner was having complications with vehicle but was able to fix the problem and shut the alarm off.
Sunday, May 11 – 2:24 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Shoreside Carwash for failing to stop at a stop sign. 2:40 a.m. A reporting party called from Trailhead Lodging at Jefferson and Third Ave advising she was being bitter towards her husband who had left her and was possibly at the Pit Bar. The reporting party thought he might be driving a vehicle, which she described. An officer was advised. At 4:28 a.m. the reporting party called from Trailhead Lodging advising her husband was being mean to her. An officer responded and provided the husband with transportation to his friend’s house to stay the night.
Monday, April 28 – 1:04 a.m. A reporting party requested an officer for a female at Safeway who was lost. Officers responded and made contact with Wanda Hill and provided transport to find her boyfriend, John Demientieff, who was camping on the waterfront. Officers were unable to find the campsite. Hill was placed into protective custody and transported to Seward Community Jail. 8:47 a.m. A reporting party advised he lost his U.S. passport. The last known location was at his residence on April 20. The information was entered into the Lost and Found book. 10:53 a.m. An earthquake was reported, magnitude 6.7 and located in the Vanuatu Islands. No tsunami was expected. 5:37 p.m. An officer called over the Seward Volunteer Fire Department radio that he has a lady down at Sixth Avenue, unconscious, breathing, foaming at the mouth. Seward Volunteer Ambulance Corps was toned. Officers with the fire department responded. While on the scene, an officer advised that the patient regained consciousness. The corps returned to quarters with no transport. 7:41 p.m. Tammy Lorraine Casey, who was driving near Chevron, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and breath test refusal. The vehicle was parked until a sober driver could retrieve it. A verbal warning was given for an expired registration. Casey was cited for failure to carry proof of insurance. 6:42 p.m. A reporting party advised that a residence at LaTouche was empty and there was a broken window between the two front doors. An officer responded, and the window was a double-pane window with an inside pane broken. The doors were secure. 7:16 p.m. A reporting party found a ring at Three Bears. A description was entered in the phone log. The reporting party will bring it in Tuesday. 7:54 p.m. Samuel W. Oetinger was arrested at the Resurrection Bay Seafoods bunkhouse on Lowell Point and charged with two counts of assault in the fourth degree. 11:42 p.m. A 911 call was received from Kimberly Court. Dispatch spoke with a male subject first, who stated he was “John” and he was leaving. A female did not want to give her name and said everything is OK and she was going to bed. Dispatch located the address in Xpediter by the phone number. Officers responded to apartment.
Tuesday, April 29 – 8:30 a.m. A school bus driver reported a white truck cab, which was parked at the corner of Second Avenue and Washington, was impeding the school bus, causing it to go into the other lane. An officer checked, and the vehicle was gone upon arrival. 4:09 p.m. A reporting party requested that an officer respond to children on bicycles at the north harbor parking area near Chevron, who were jumping snow berms and crossing into traffic. The subjects were gone upon arrival. 8:05 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Troopers advised of a “rough-looking pickup pulling another rough-looking two-tone Suburban,” from Salmon Creek Trailer Park, heading in an unknown direction of travel. The driver was believed to be intoxicated. An officer was unable to locate in the downtown area and from Third Avenue to Nash Road. 8:19 a.m. A reporting party, of Bayside, observed four males on the property that did not belong there. They left a garbage bag on the property with a case of beer in it. When the reporting party picked it up, one of the group came up to her and said it was his. She checked his identification and gave the bag to him. 9:03 p.m. A reporting party requested an officer to Bayside Apartments. She stated a female spit on her boyfriend. The subject left northbound prior to arrival with two males. An officer contacted the female at the harbormaster’s office bathroom and spoke with her. 9:17 p.m. Richard Hubbard was in the harbormaster’s office bathrooms. An officer advised him to leave and entered a criminal trespass for the harbormaster’s office bathrooms. 9:37 p.m. Justin Coon was arrested by summons for misconduct involving a controlled substance in the sixth degree. A citation was issued for speeding on Salmon Creek Road near Alaska Cabins.
Wednesday, April 30 – 12:35 a.m. A reporting party requested extra patrols around Christos after seeing two people on bikes hanging around the businesses downtown. Officers were advised. 7:46 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver for failing to come to a complete stop. 12:01 p.m. A caller requested to speak to an officer in reference a stimulus payment that had been deposited into someone else’s account.
Thursday, May 1 – 6:29 a.m. A citation was issued to Richard Mcmahan, of California, while driving at Seward Highway and Safeway, for speeding. 6:50 a.m. A verbal warning was given to a driver at Seward Highway and Van Buren for speeding. 12:19 p.m. A citation was issued to Mark Hottmann while driving on the Seward Highway for failure to stop. 2:43 p.m. Soldotna Alaska State Trooper advised that a trooper officer had two individuals pulled over at Mile 15 of the Seward Highway, and they both had handguns. While two police officers were en route, state troopers advised that the trooper had both individuals contained and no longer required assistance. Police officers were advised. 3:08 p.m. The manager from Three Bears advised he had caught a juve
